Dallas Cowboys Win Against Detroit Lions
The game did not start of well with the Dallas Cowboys as they fell into a 14-0 hole at the start of their game against the Detroit Lions. Tony Romo was subjected to several blitzes during the game. However, Dallas was able to recover and rallied to a 24-20 win. Dallas will go up against the Green Bay Packers in a divisional playoff game.
Jeremy Mincey, defensive end of Dallas, said they will not fold. The team was able to show the fortitude to enter the next stage of the playoffs. DeMarcus Lawrence was able to recover a fumble by the Lions and attempted to run with the ball near the end of the game.
When he fumbled, Detroit had the chance for a drive. He made up his blunder when he sacked Matthew Stafford to claim the win for the Dallas Cowboys. He later revealed that he was aware that he needed to do something for the team due to his wrong move.
The executive vice president of Dallas, Stephen Jones remarked that the players were growing in front of their eyes. While they were pressured throughout the game, they did not give in to it. While Romo was sacked six times, he was able pass for 293 yards along with a pair of touchdowns. He also did not commit any turnovers.
The Dallas quarterback kept his poise even as he was avoided making some throws die to the risk. His game made him the leading passer of the NFL and the best for December. He was able to make a number of passes in the face of a number of rushes by the Detroit Lions.
