“Dancing With the Stars” Reveals First Celebrity Dancer

“Dancing With the Stars” revealed its first celebrity dancer for its latest season, which is set to premiere on September 14. The show revealed that Bindi Irwin will be among the contestants of the new season. Australian Irwin is the 17-uear-old daughter of the Terri Irwin and the Crocodile Hunter, the late Steve Irwin.

Bindi said she was thrilled and blessed to be a part of the new season of the show after the announcement on the Facebook page of the ABC reality series. She considers “Dancing With the Stars” as a new adventure for her and she is “excited to share” her journey. She said she is in love with Los Angeles and she is ready to fall in love with the dance and music to come.

She first came into the limelight with her late father as a baby, and grew up in front of the eyes of the fans. Steve Irwin died after a stingray hit him in the chest in 2006 while on a shoot. Bindi was 8 years old when her father died.

Instead of moving out of the limelight after the death of her father, Bindi continued the wildlife conservation work of her parents. She starred in a number of wildlife shows, including "Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors," "Bindi: The Jungle Girl," and "Bindi's Bootcamp." She also has a number of movies to her credit, including "Return to Nim's Island" and "Free Willy: Escape from Pirate's Cove."

The previous season of "Dancing with the Stars" saw Rumer Willis and her professional dancing partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy winning the crown. Willis is the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis. The other participants of season 20 included Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway. Lynch placed second in the show while Galloway came in third place. RedFoo, Michael Sam and Patti LaBelle also joined season 20 of the show.

The complete list of participants of season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars" will be revealed by September 2.
