A week after the Egyptian army deposed president Mohamed Morsi and his entire government and arrested key members of his main supporting party the Muslim Borherhood, protests are running wild all over Egypt as Morsi supporters have had violent clashes with army forces.
Egypt defense minister warned pro Morsi supporters that they will not be permitted to interfere with the country's difficult and delicate transition period.
After Mohamed Morsi was arrested and his run as president ended, Adly Mansour a former constitutional court judge was named acting president. Since his naming, Mansour has appointed Hazem el-Beblawi as his prime minister.
This isn’t Mr el-Beblawi’s first political function in a post Mubarak Egypt as he served as the finance minister in the military instated government. He also stated that he will choose his cabinet based on experience only but at what time the list of ministers will be complete is still a mystery even to him.
Mohamed ElBaradei has also joined the new Egyptian governing team as deputy president with a special inclination towards foreign affairs.
All parties and the Egyptian army seem to understand the importance of this period and are putting Egypt future in front of their own agenda, at least at speech level, however, one thing remains clear, protests aren’t going to end any time soon.
