Method actor Eli Wallach passed away at the age of 98 on Tuesday, Wallach is well known for his work on Western movies. He appeared as Tuco, a bandit on “The Good, the Band and the Ugly.”

The late actor also appeared on the “Wall Street” sequel of Oliver Stone and “The Ghost Writer” of Roman Polanski even after he was already in his 90s. Wallach said his work was all he wanted to do in his life during an interview in 2010. He grew up in a New York neighborhood dominated by Italians, which made it unusual for him to become a cowboy.

Among his definitive roles was as Calvera in “The Magnificent Seven” and Tuco. Eli Wallach revealed that he would be recognized by strangers, who would start to whistle the characteristic theme of the movie.

Wallace honed his horse-riding skills at the University of Texas, where he graduated. Before the Second World War broke out, the actor attended the Neighborhood Playhouse Actors Studio. . He was able to work at the New York stage after he served as an Army hospital administrator during World War 2.

He was given an honorary Oscar by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2010. The Academy indicated that Wallach was an exemplary chameleon who is able to naturally portray numerous types of characters

After appearing on “This Property is Condemned,” Wallace married Anne Jackson, the leading lady of the show. He also stamped his name on Broadway through “The Rose Tattoo” and “Camino Real.”

The first movie of Wallace was on “Baby Doll” of Tennessee Williams. He also appeared on “The Holiday,” “Mystic River,” “How the West was Won,” “Lord Jim” and “The Godfather Part 3.” He received his most number of fan mail when he portrayed Mr. Freeze in the 1960 TV show, “Batman.” Reports about the death of Eli Wallach were confirmed through his daughter.
