Elisabeth Hasselbeck End Her Run At “The View”
In what was a very emotional show, Elisabeth Hasselbeck announced that she will quit her 10 year spot at “The View”.
She walked out arm in arm with Barbara Walters who confessed she was emotional and saddened by her colleague’s departure.
Walters basically broke the news as she announced that Hasselbeck will be leaving the show for a job at the Fox network. Walters was visibly nervous as she barely held back her tears for the first part of the show.
She was so nervous that she mistakenly said “I’m happy you’re going” but quickly realized her mishap and corrected herself while giving Hasselbeck a chance to elaborate about her new job.
Hasselbeck said that she will be “joining the Fox & Friends team” after which she thanked everyone, from the cast to the crew and security without missing makeup and “everyone behind the scenes”.
She thanked executive producer Bill Geddie, saying that he challenged her every day and made her give it her best.
Hasselbeck then went around the table and thanked each member of the view panel individually saying that she has learned a lot in the 10 years she’s been doing the show and that she can move on knowing that she has worked with the best.
The cast also thanked Elisabeth Hasselbeck for her dedication and professionalism saying that she is leaving the show with a lot of love.
