Ezra Miller Cast As The Flash

Warner Bros has reportedly cast Ezra Miller as “The Flash” for the movie adaptation of the comic book hero. The movie is set to be released in 2018 by the studio.

The eccentric character actor is an unusual choice for the studio to play the superhero that was initially created in 1940 by DC Comics. Barry Allen is a police scientist in Central City who was bathed in electrified chemicals. Due to this, he is already capable of moving, thinking and reacting at lightning speeds and became the speedy superhero known as the Flash.

Warner Bros chief executive officer Kevin Tsujihara also made an official announcement about a series of movie adaptations of DC Comics superheroes during a meeting of Time Warner investors in Burbank. Among the movies that are set to be released are the Suicide Squad in 2016, Wonder Woman and Justice League Part One in 2017, Aquaman in 2018, Shazam and Justice League Part Two in 2019, and Cyborg and Green Lantern in 2020.

The small-screen version of the Flash broke ratings records recently. Grant Gustin plays the role of the superhero on the small-screen version that airs on Tuesdays.

Ezra Miller initial claim to fame was in “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” where he played the role of Patrick. Emma Watson and Logan Lerman were the two other stars of the movie. The 22-year-old Cannes Trophy winner also received critical acclaim when he played the role of Tilda Swinton’s homicidal son in “We Need to Talk About Kevin.”

He is also the singer, keyboardist and drummer of Sons of an Illustrious Father, a band based in Manhattan. The band is set to play on October 21 at the Bowery Ballroom. Ezra Miller is also set to appear in “Trainwreck” with Bill Hader, Amy Schumer, and Daniel Radcliffe.
