Family Guy Kills Off One Of Its Main Characters
While the stars of Sunday night TV are usually “The Walking Dead” or “Boardwalk Empire” this Monday morning everyone was talking about a single show, and that was “Family Guy”. Seth MacFarlane’s cult classic show that has been running on and off for over a decade took a major decision last night and killed one of its main characters.
Brian, the Griffin family dog was killed in last night’s episode leaving a lot of fans speechless or at the very least confused. Brian was always one of the more “normal” characters of the show, if a talking dog with a Brown college degree can be considered normal.
The lovable character was struck by a car in the sixth episode of season 12 called “Life of Brian”. In an effort to deal with the pain caused by Brian’s passing, the Griffin’s get a new dog which is voiced by “The Sopranos” actor Tony Sirico.
The decision shocked a lot of fans as no substitute dog could replace Brian, who was voiced by the show’s creator himself, Seth MacFarlane. Some fans started petitions demanding that Brian be brought back to the show.
Family Guy's decision to kill Brian isn't the first time that animated TV shows killed off an important character, with the Simpsons killing Maude Flanders who since made appearances as a ghost.
