Fans Celebrate Jackson’s 2nd Death Anniversary

The Gary home came packed with Michael Jackson fans in commemoration of the icon’s 2nd death anniversary.

As the fans swayed to Michael Jackson’s songs, Mayor Rudy Clay welcomed the fans and reminded that Michael’s memory will never be forgotten.

Jackson who died on the 25th if June 2009, at the age of 50, was at that time preparing for his comeback tour.  Sadly though, Jackson died of a possible sleeping pill overdose.

Marshall Bingaman, being one of Jackson’s fan even drove for 9 hours from Kasas City, Missouri to join the memorial.  He said that these events help keep Michael’s memory very much alive.

Even fans from all over the world made their own commemoration rites for the late Pop Superstar.  In Seoul, South Korea MJ’s fans gathered to show off their version of Jackson’s dance moves during a flash mob event in downtown Seoul.

On another Michael Jackson news, the pop star’s famous ‘Thriller jacket’ sold for $1.8 million a day after fans celebrated his 2nd death anniversary.  The red and black leather jacket was tipped to be sold at around $200,000 to $400,000 but was eventually bought by Milton Verret just under the $2 million radar.
