Fingerprints Of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 Passengers To Be Checked In The US

The photos and fingerprints of two men who boarded Malaysian Airlines flight 370 will be sent to the US for comparison against the records of known criminals and terrorists. The disappearance of the plane continues to puzzle investigators even as the investigation is focused on the two passengers who used stolen passports.

Azaharuddin Abdul Rahman, Civil Aviation Chief of Malaysia revealed the surveillance tape of the boarding of the plan will be reviewed. He added that the two men using the stolen passports did not appear to be Asians. He said one of the two men was black. He did not provide any other details about the two men.

The photos and fingerprints will be checked by US authorities on its databases to try to find a match. A senior counter-terrorism official revealed that the two men may shed light to the disappearance of the plane. The official indicated that everything will be conjecture until additional information is acquired on the two men who used the stolen passports.

Even as speculations emerged on the role of terrorism on the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, a little known extremist group based on Asia claimed responsibility for the disappearance. The plane was on its way to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The official also said the no intel was picked up by the US. He said it was difficult to draw conclusions with no information about the incident.

Rahman said investigators were still facing a blank wall on the fate of the Boeing 777 jet that has a remarkable safety record. An oil slick spotted along the southern coast of Vietnam was determined not to have come from the doomed aircraft.

Hishammuddin Hussein, minister of transportation of Malaysia, revealed that nothing will be taken for granted as he responded to a question on the claim of the Chinese Martyr Brigade, which has yet to be verified. However, Rahman later indicated that no information has emerged on the reason behind the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, which means they cannot make any speculations.

A number of countries have contributed to the search of the missing plane, including China, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines and the US. A P-3C Orion aircraft is being used by the Seventh Fleet of the US Navy in searching for the missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 along the Strait of Malacca.
