After iTunes 12.2 was launched by the company, Home Sharing stopped functioning on the iOS devices of some users. Even as the feature did not work on the mobile devices, it continued to function between computers and the Apple TV. It also allows users to share videos. But, it prevented users from sharing music on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. Apple revealed that the feature is set to return when iOS 9 is released. For the moment, users will have to make do with a free Apple Music trial subscription.

When Apple unveiled iOS 8.4 and OS X 10.10.4 around two weeks ago, it also released iTunes 12.2. The new Apple Music service allows users to listen to songs on demand as well as create playlists. The service also facilitates the use of the Apple Music Match service, which offers high-quality versions of the songs in the library of the users.

The recently-released update for the Apple Music Match service is already ready for download through the website of the company.
