Former Miss New Hampshire USA Slapped with Assault Charges
This is another incident of a beauty queen transgressing the law in contrast to their pledge of being a role model to the people, especially the youth, as they represent their country.
Police reported that former Miss New Hampshire USA is now facing assault charges resulting from a heated argument with her boyfriend that ended up with some physical confrontation.
Police announced Sunday that the 26-year-old Former Miss New Hampshire USA Nicole Houde was arrested on Wednesday. Authorities revealed that the Manchester beauty queen did acts unbecoming of a beauty queen or a lady for that matter. Houde allegedly punched, kicked, scratched and bit her 33-year-old boyfriend Scott Nickerson, also of Manchester.
CBS Boston reports that the heated argument began when Nickerson accused the former beauty queen of having an affair. At some point, Nickerson grabbed Houde's cell phone and refused to give it back amid her pleading, prompting the physical confrontation, police said.
Nicole Houde won the Miss New Hampshire USA title in 2010. However, she is not the only 2010 Miss USA contestant who found herself in trouble with the law. Rima Fakih, crowned Miss USA in 2010, pleaded no contest in court for driving while under the influence of alcohol in early December.
It should be noted that Miss New Hampshire USA and Miss Teen New Hampshire USA are distinct from Miss New Hampshire and Miss America pageants.
