Frankie Muniz on Twitter: ‘I Suffered a Mini Stroke’
Hollywood actor Frankie Muniz has revealed that he suffered a transient ischemic attack or 'mini-stroke' last Friday which forced him to pay an emergency visit to his doctor.
Muniz broke the news of his health trouble to his Twitter followers just a day before his 27th birthday by saying: "I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a "Mini Stroke", which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!"
The press had already suspected that there was something wrong with him because his girlfriend Elycia Turnbow had posted a picture of him on Instagram a few days ago in which he can be seen somewhat unconscious and lying under hospital sheets. The caption of the picture read: "Please be ok."
Despite sharing the information with his tweeps, the "Malcolm in the Middle" star hasn't conveyed the details to the press yet. TMZ, however, still has some inside information on this subject.
The publication claims that Muniz complained of having trouble with his speech and started behaving erratically, after which he was rushed to the ER of the Arizona hospital. He is now waiting for the test results to find out what actually went wrong with him.
It should be noted that mini-strokes are generally caused by a loss of blood flow and it could result in paralysis or brain damage in severe cases.
