Golden State Warriors May Change Basketball Uniforms Forever
This season could bring either a revolutionary new way in which teams choose their uniforms or a huge fashion disaster with the Golden State Warriors going for a short sleeved tight uniform in their next game with the San Antonio Spurs.
The uniform resembles new workout gear and is made out of a very light material that helps absorb moisture.
The short sleeved uniform will be almost 26 percent lighter than the tank top jersey they currently use.
Adidas developed the new uniform using their new adizero technology, while also reducing the carbon footprint of the old uniform as it is made out of 60 percent recycled materials.
Harrison Barnes, forward for the Golden State Warriors said that while it may take people some getting used to, the new uniform will become a trend, and that while it doesn't interfere with his movement it can only be a plus as it is considerably lighter than the old tank top.
The top is made out of light stretch materials that let athletes move freely, while feeling lighter and absorbing moisture faster than the old model.
Lawrence Norman, VP of Adidas Basketball said that the revolutionary uniform will change the way basketball attire is perceived and that such a product could only be launched in the most revolutionary part of the country with the Golden State Warriors.
