Goldie Hawn May Play Mom Of Amy Schumer In An Upcoming Movie
Amy Schumer has worked with a number of high-profile actors and actresses in the past, and it appears that another well-known star will be added to the already-long list in the career of the actress. The Hollywood Reporter indicated that Goldie Hawn is currently in talks with the possibility of playing the mother of Schumer in an upcoming comedy for 20th Century Fox.
The matriarch for Schumer in the upcoming action-comedy movie has yet to be finalized, and the Academy Award-winning actress is one of the options to play the role. Aside from her experience when it comes to comedy, Hawn also played the role of the mother of another prominent actress, Kate Hudson. However, the talks are still at their early stages and Hawn has yet to accept the project.
However, Goldie Hawn was not the first choice to play the role of the mother of Amy Schumer. The Hollywood Reporter added that Frances McDormand and Sally Field were being considered at the start, but did not accept the role. The team up of Hawn and Schumer is considered special since Hawn has not appeared in a big screen movie in a long time. The last movie she starred in was The Banger Sisters in 2002. She was also given a voice role for one episode of the animated television series Phineas and Ferb in 2013. She is set to appear on a new Netflix original movie with Diane Keaton and Bette Midler. The co-stars on First Wives Club will play former band mates.
The upcoming movie follows the misadventures of a mother and daughter when their vacation went off course. While Katie Dippold wrote the script for the movie, Amy Schumer and Kim Caramele made some suggestions to the script. Dippold will be an executive producer of the movie while Paul Feig will produce it.
