Hassan Rouhani Vows To Never Construct Nuclear Weapons

Hassan Rouhani Iran’s recently elected president said that neither him nor his cabinet is seeking out war while criticizing Israel for destabilizing the entire Middle East region. He also accused them of trying to manipulate the world’s perception on Iran’s nuclear intentions.

Rouhani, who is considered by most Western analysts to be a moderate politician compared to his predecessor, talked to NBC News just a couple of days before heading for a United Nations meeting in New York.

He continued talking about Israel’s disruptive efforts when it comes to peace in the Middle East, saying that all he and Iran want is for peace and good understanding between all the countries in the region.

He also addressed the nuclear issue his country is facing, saying that no one in Iran want’s to develop nuclear weapons. He also said that he is fully authorized to negotiate a nuclear understanding with the United States.

There were rumors that a meeting between U.S. President and Iran’s Hassan Rouhani was scheduled during the U.N. gathering in an effort to end years of hostility and establish a better relationship between the two countries.

Hassan Rouhani also addressed the internet censorship in his country saying that he hopes all Iranians can have free access to “all the information in the world” including the censored social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
