Hawaii, An Unusual But Great Christmas Holiday Destination

With snow everywhere, some winter sports, Christmas trees at every corner, and all the lights, bells and decorations one can handle Christmas Holidays seems to have a clear stereotype of what they should be.

However, for people who want something new and rather unusual, a different, more adventurous Christmas Holiday then Hawaii is definitely the way to go.

Maui, the second largest of Hawaii’s islands offers great white sand beaches and amazing views like the cliff divers from Black Rock. You can also take a surfing course at the Royal Hawaiian Surf Academy, Hawaii’s top surf school.

Oahu, the third largest island offers treats for the entire family, like horseback riding through the orchards and groves of the North Shore. People can also take part in a myriad of activities like Samoan-style tree climbing, spear throwing or canoe racing.

The Big Island, offers other fantastic experiences like a view of the night sky seen from the summit of Mauna Kea at the ‘Imiloa Astronomy center. You can also get your fill of local produce, like the delicious Wao Kele honey, or some white pineapple at the Hilo Farmers’ Market, and to top your Hawaiian Holiday adventure off, a walk through the Thurston Lava Tube at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
