Hawaii Deemed Happiest And Healthiest State In The Union
When it comes to being happy and of course healthy it seems that Americans have the best shot at achieving both in Hawaii.
Even if it seems like a no brainer, the small Island Paradise ranked as the place with the most well-being out of all 50 states in a poll conducted recently.
On the other side of the chart, West Virginia seems to occupy the position for the worst well-being state for the fourth year in a row.
Emotional health, physical heath, and work environment seemed some aspect that Hawaiians would rate as thriving, in the Gallup Healthways poll conducted.
On the other side, West Virginian’s said they have the worst physical health and are the most likely to be diagnosed with depression.
The rest of the top five happiest states are Colorado, Minnesota, Utah and Vermont while at the bottom part of the chart we see Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas joining West Virginia.
The same poll said that residents of the happier states are considered more likely to be healthier, to work out more, smoke less and have lower diabetes rates. They also said that unemployment is less of a problem while people generally earn more money and have smaller rates of poverty in happy states like Hawaii.
