HBO Now Set To Be Launched By April

HBO Now, an online streaming service, is set to be launched in the next few weeks by HBO. The International Business Times revealed that the cable-free service, which will have a monthly service fee of $15, will be available in numerous platforms, including the Apple TV. Its launch is scheduled before the premiere of the Game of Thrones on April 12.

The launch of the service is set to fill the demand for cable-free video service among consumers. The service basically offers a premium TV channel that is not connected to cable companies and provides premium videos directly to the consumers. While the $15 monthly service fee of the service is more expensive compared to a Hulu Plus or Netflix subscription, it may be worth the extra cost since it includes a number of movies and shows offered by the channel.

Although HBO Now offers consumers another way of accessing movies and shows of the company, the company is still using the same old techniques when it provides the streaming service to consumers. The service provides the company the opportunity to sign agreements with other distribution partners and telecommunications companies. The set up is basically the same thing it did when it offered satellite TV.

Due to this, ISPs can basically include the service in some bundles it offers to its subscribers though service packages. Despite all of these minute details, HBO Now is set to make an impact in the market once it reaches the market.
