The record-breaking heat during the Los Angeles Marathon resulted to the hospitalization of over 30 runners. One man suffered a heart attack due to the heat. The annual 26.2-mile race attracted 26,000 runners from all over the world.

The Weather Channel revealed that the temperature on Sunday broke temperature records of the city, which was set in 1978 at 85 degrees.
