Hezbollah Leader Counts On Syria To Supply Weapons For Israel Fight

Hezbollah leader Sayed Hassan Nasrallah said while celebrating the founding of the group's radio station that Syria will help them by providing weapons that can help change the way they fight Israel.

The declaration increases discord in an already overly violent area, especially after Israel’s airstrike on Syrian territory from last week.

While Nasrallah didn't clearly specify the nature of the weapons he did confirm that they are ready to receive and use them.

He also added that the Lebanese faction of the paramilitary group is willing and able to assist Syria in its civil war with the rebel forces and in liberating the Golan Heights area on the border between Israel and Syria.

The area was occupied by Israel in 1967 with little problems, however, since the start of the Syrian civil war tensions have escalated in the region.

As fighting between Syrian forces and rebels are intense in the region, some bombs occasionally fall on the Israeli part.

This isn't the only reason for concern in Israel as they are increasingly troubled by the chances of Hezbollah getting access to sophisticated weaponry, even chemical weapons.

U.S. officials estimate that nearly 2,500 Hezbollah members are fighting in Syria at the moment, and are one of the main reasons the Assad regime is still standing.
