Hollywood Singers Derulo and Sparks Will Soon Tie the Knot

Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, also famous for her songs, “One Step at A Time” and “Just Like a Tattoo”, shared to US Weekly on the red carpet at City of Hope Honors Halston's Ben Malka bash in L.A. Wednesday about her year-long romance with  R&B star Jason Derulo -- and revealed that they're already talking marriage.

"It's not a conversation that we're scared about," Sparks explains. "Before, we both went through tragedies this year -- he broke his neck and then Whitney Houston passed -- so before it might have been a little too crazy."

Derulo broke his neck when he missed a landing and fracturing a part of his vertebra. Doctors told him he “could have” been paralyzed. On the other hand, Spark’s onscreen mother, Houston, who’s been with her for a long time died on February at the early age of 48.

After last year’s tragic events, they temporarily shifted their priorities.

"You really see the people you love and you go, I don't want to lose you," she explained. "So, it's a conversation we have, but we're not in a rush."

Although we might wait little while before wedding bells ring for the couple, Sparks exclaims she'll be thrilled whenever Derulo, 23, decides to pop the question.

"I hope he does!" Sparks exclaimed. "It's not happening yet, but I hope so!"
