Huawei Ascend Smartphone May Be Released In The US By Summer
The Huawei Ascend D2 or the Ascend Mate may be launched by the company when it releases a flagship smartphone in the United States this coming summer. Huawei unveiled the two smartphones during the Consumer Electronics Show last January.
The main feature of the Huawei Ascend D2 is its 4,050 mAh battery while the Ascend Mate comes with a 6.1-inch display screen.
The company revealed recently that it will release the smartphone as part of a major consumer awareness campaign for its products in the US market. However, it did not give any details on the smartphone or the scheduled release of the smartphone. It is also possible that the company will release the Huawei Ascend P2, which was introduced last February at the Mobile World Congress.
The Ascend P2 features an HD display, notable deign and a thirteen-megapixel camera.
The company has gradually made itself known to consumers in the United States in the past few years by offering reasonably-priced models through no-contract mobile service providers. It also started to increase its visibility among major carriers in the US recently.
To increase consumer awareness of the company, it has promoted its supposed understanding of the human element as one of its latest strategies in the US market. It also aims to provide handsets that offer first-class hardware performance into the market.
Some industry watchers are waiting for the arrival of the Huawei Ascend D2 or the Ascend Mate into the product lineup of the four major mobile service providers in the US. If T-Mobile will offer these smartphones in the US, it may offer a low off-contract price that will attract the attention of consumers.
It is also expected that the large-sized Ascend Mate will face tough competition from the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It will be known how prepared the company is when it will release one of the Huawei Ascend models into the US market.
