Jason Mraz Finally Marries Christina Carano
Jason Mraz finally married his girlfriend, Christina Carano, in a ceremony surrounded by family and friends in Mechanicsville. The ceremony was held at the Pole Green Historic Church, which features a distinctive outdoor outline of a house with faux windows.
Café Gratitude’s Terces Engelhart led the nuptials that had a limited guest list of around fifty people. The 38-year-old singer met his bride at the altar featuring a canopy decorated with greenery. A source indicated that the couple will go on a road trip for their honeymoon.
The bride wore a white long-sleeved high-collar gown featuring a sheer tail and a crown of flowers.
Jason Mraz raved about his partner and posted a picture of her on Instagram. The singer indicated on the photo that he was “the luckiest man in the world.” The Grammy Award-winning singer met the Royal Oak, Michigan native in 2007 while he was visiting a coffee shop in Hermosa Beach, California. Carano was former owner of the coffee ship. However, the couple only started dating in 2011.
Carano said after having a crush on the singer for a number of years, they are finally together. She added that they have an “awesome life together” and they “make a great team.” The couple was featured on the cover of The Osider in August. Carano described Mraz as a generous, loving and hardworking man, which are the qualities she finds attractive in a partner. She added that Mraz inspires and empowers her every day and he cares about things that really matter.
Jason Mraz was previously engaged to Tristan Prettyman in December 2011. However, the engagement was called off six months later. Mraz also said in 2011 that he would not marry until everyone gets the right to marry. He said at the Concert to Benefit the American Foundation for Equal Rights that he cannot get married until marriage is equal and legal. He added that the right to marry is a significant movement in civil rights.
The marriage of Jason Mraz and Christina Carano comes after gay marriage was ruled constitutional by the Supreme Court in June.
