Jason Segel Splits With Michelle Williams

The relationship between Jason Segel and Michelle Williams ended quietly recently.

Reports indicated that the long distance between the two stars put a strain on their relationship. The “How I Met You Mother” actor lives in Los Angeles, where the sitcom is filmed, while the “Oz The Great And Powerful” star lives in New York together with Matilda, her 7-year-old daughter.

Images of the couple appearing happy together while celebrating the New Year together with Busy Philipps, the best friend of Michele appeared only recently. They celebrated the New Year in Mexico with the husband of Philipps.

Jason Segel and Michelle Williams have been together since early last year. Busy supposedly introduced the two to each other. During this time, Segel grew closer to Matilda, the daughter of the late Heath Ledger and Michelle.

Segel was the first person seen in public dating the actress following the death of Ledger in 2008 due to an overdose. The death came around five months after Williams and Ledger separated. Segel appeared to act as a father to Matilda when the two stars are seen together in New York.

At the start, the couple did not confirm their relationship even after Jason Segel was seen playing with the daughter of Williams. A photograph also emerged showing his iPhone with the picture of Michelle and the words “I Heart U”.

The relationship was confirmed by Segel in April although he did not give any details. He simply said that they both like to be happy.

No statements were issued by the representatives of either Jason Segel or Michelle Williams in connection to the end of their relationship.
