Jennifer Lawrence Explains Reason Behind New Haircut

Jennifer Lawrence talked about her new hairdo and the reasons that convinced her to cut her locks and go with a short pixyish look. The reason seems to be the overuse and over processing of her hair says the actress.

It would appear that all the dyeing, highlighting, straightening and everything in between eventually got too intense and the only solution for what Lawrence describes as “ugly hair” was to chop it off.

The Hunger Games actress also added that her hair had gotten too long and reached that “gross length”. Her normal shoulder length hair apparently got out of hand due to her busy schedule. Lawrence said that her hair was usually kept in bun for the majority of the time, so she didn't really mind the length, until she saw the damage and decided that drastic measure were needed.

Other than getting rid of her over-dyed and damaged hair for its health, the young actress said that scaring Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence was just as good a reason. Jennifer Lawrence appeased the movie’s fans and its director by saying that her character will not sport the same hairdo and that she will wear a wig for the role.
