JK Rowling Admits She Is Behind “The Cuckoo’s Calling”

“The Cuckoo’s Calling” who was initially believed to have been written by Robert Galbraith, a former police officer, got fantastic reviews but a less than impressive sales record as it only managed to move 500 copies.

However, after “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling revealed herself as the actual writer behind her Robert Galbraith pen name, the book became an instant best seller reaching the very top of Amazon’s bestseller list in just one night.

As sales began to pick up editors who passed on the book said that they found it well written but a bit to “quiet” and without a defining element that made it stand out while also being a tough sell in a very crowded market.

The book was published by Sphere, the same company that published Rowling’s “The Casual Vacancy” last year.

After the perceptive and skilled style in which the believed author described women’s clothes starting making some people suspicious, investigators found that both Rowling and Mr Galbraith used the same publisher.

Eventually JK Rowling confessed she is the author behind the book saying that she wished the secret would have been kept longer as she found the whole experience extremely liberating while delighting in the unbiased feedback she got as a normal, seemingly inexperienced writer.
