Johnny Manziel Joins NFL Draft

With just two years spent in Texas and 93 touchdowns to show for it Johnny Manziel certainly left a mark. Now, after reports have been circulating for days that he submitted the necessary documents to enter the NFL draft, the player himself confirmed the news.

He confirmed the news while writing up a thank you letter for the people that supported him the most in the two years he spent playing for Texas A&M. In his open letter, Manziel thanked his fans and said that he feels relieved and prepared to make his dream reality and become the “best quarterback” he can become.

Last year was a spectacular one for Manziel as he completed 69.9 percent of his passes for 4,114 yards and 37 touchdowns.  Manziel also managed to rush for 759 yards and nine touchdowns, less impressive than his Heisman yearn back in 2012 when he managed to rush for an impressive 1410 yards and 21 touchdowns.

With total career stats like 7,820 yards passing, 63 touchdowns with 22 interceptions and 2,169 yard rushing with an amazing 30 touchdowns, Manziel’s future in the NFL looks pretty bright.

His former Duke coach David Cutcliffe seems to sum up Manziel the best by praising the enthusiasm that he bring to the game. He also said that his stats and the short period in which he managed to acquire them make him a truly historical figure in college football.
