Jonah Hill Makes A Public Apology At “The Tonight Show”

Jonah Hill publicly apologized for making homophobic and derogatory comments over the weekend. The “22 Jump Street” star made the public apology when he became a guest on “The Tonight Show” for the comments he made after encountering a paparazzo last weekend.

A video posted last Tuesday showed Hill walking along the LA’s Larchmont neighborhood while being followed by paparazzi. The paparazzi made some comments about the shorts he was wearing. The actor made the derogatory comments at the videographer near the end of the video clip. In response, the videographer said that Hill was a bully.

The actor apologized at the Howard Stern show later on in the same day as the fallout from his comments started to emerge. However, he was not contented with making one apology since he is currently promoting an upcoming summer movie. He also apologized while he was with Jimmy Fallon.

Jonah Hill was emotional when he said he did not mean to be homophobic and his words carried weight and had meaning. He described the term that he used when he made the comment at the as grotesque.

The actor also made an apology to the LGBT community, saying his heart was broken and he was sincerely sorry to anyone affected by the word he used.

It was also an awkward situation for Fallon since the show is aimed at seeing the funny side of certain situations most of the time. Fallon inadvertently made a joke when he was trying to reassure the actor, who was showing sincerity when he made the apology. Fallon said it was good that Hill came out.

This caused a burst of laughter from the audience, and immediately lightened the mood in the show. Jonah Hill responded that there was a reason why Jimmy Fallon was the host of “The Tonight Show.”
