Jordan Spieth Become Youngest PGA Tour Winner

Nineteen-year-old Jordan Spieth survived a sudden-death playoff to become the youngest PGA Tour event winner in over eight decades. He considered his bunker shot on the last hole as his the luckiest shot that he made in his life. The shot allowed him to reach the playoff against David Hearn and Zach Johnson at the John Deere Classic.

He was a special temporary member in the tournament. However, he will have a full-fledged status when he goes to the British Open. He is also qualified for the playoffs at the end of the season.

He considered himself lucky even as he reached the top ten five times this season.

Jordan Spieth started the last round six shots behind before he bogeyed the first hole. However, he got a birdie in five of his last six holes. He appeared to end the tournament with a nice paycheck without the trip to the British Open. However, Johnson got a bogey in the final hole, which allowed Spieth the opportunity to win the tournament. And he did not waste the chance.

The five-hole playoff saw a number of opportunities for Johnson and Hearn to win. However, Spieth came out as the best among the three.

The playoff among the three began on No. 18. Johnson had a chance to win the tournament, but his chip sot lipped out. Another opportunity opened up for Johnson on the second hole. However, he was not able to make his birdie shot. Jordan Spieth stayed alive with his eight-foot par putt.

Hearn also missed a number of birdie putts on No.16 and No. 17.

In the 18th hole, the drives of all three players went to the right rough. A tree blocked Johnson while Spieth was fortunate enough to have a clear shot. He was the only player to reach the green.

The two-putt par of Jordan Spieth gave him the title and the trip to the British Open.
