Justin Bieber Given Deadline For Pet Monkey In Germany

The capuchin monkey of Justin Bieber, Mally, may have to find a new home in Germany since the camp of the singer appears to have lost hope in getting her back.

Customs authorities in Germany seized the monkey last March 28 following the arrival of the singer in Munich since the documents needed for the animal were not available. The singer was given four weeks to get Mally by German authorities before options for the permanent care for the animal were explored.

Munich Animal Protection League shelter spokeswoman Judith Brettmeister revealed that two emails were sent to her office from someone who claimed to come from the management company of Justin Bieber recently. The monkey is currently held at the shelter.

The supposed representative requested Mally to be taken out of the shelter and relocated to a zoo. Although it could not be confirmed that the emails really camp from the management company of the singer, Brettmeister indicated that they seem to come from them.

Brettmeister revealed that the first email inquired about the time left for Justin Bieber to present the required documents before the monkey will be euthanized. However, the shelter replied that shelters in Germany do no euthanize animals.

The shelter was thanked in the second email and inquired about possible zoos in Germany where Mally can be relocated. It also showed their concern for the monkey and wants it to be relocated in the best residence available.

Thomas Meister, a custom spokesman, revealed that the singer must present the required documents for the animal by May 17. If the documents are not presented, Mally will continue to stay in the shelter until the singer will get in touch with them directly.

Meister added that Justin Bieber will lose ownership of Mally after May 17 and she will become a property of the German government.
