Justin Bieber Signs Up For A Trip To Space With Virgin Galactic
It appears that Justin Bieber will finally get his chance to go to space as he signed up for a space voyage through Virgin Galactic of Richard Branson. Branson announced recently through Twitter that the Canadian pop star and manager Scooter Braun have signed up to become a future astronaut.
In response to the tweet from the British businessman, Justin Bieber tweeted about shooting a music video in space.
Commercial flights of Virgin Galactic are scheduled to start next year. A number of high-profile personalities were reportedly attracted to this upcoming trip by the company including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, and physicist Stephen Hawkins.
A guest during a charity auction at the Cannes Film Festival paid $1.2 million to be able to sit beside Leonardo DiCaprio on a Virgin Galactic trip.
The cost of a seat on SpaceShipTwo of Virgin Galactic is at $250,000. The space ship, which carries six passengers and two pilots, can go up to an altitude of around 68 miles. This will be enough for passengers to have a zero gravity experience as well as get to see the Earth from space.
A number of tests are currently being conducted on the SpaceShipTwo as it prepares for its first trip into space. The first trip is scheduled at the end of the year and will carry the family of Branson.
Aside from Justin Bieber and other celebrities, Ashton Kutcher also signed up for a trip to space with Virgin Galactic.
