Justin Timberlake Stands Up For Miley Cyrus

Justin Timberlake showed a lot of solidarity to fellow singer and former Disney Star Miley Cyrus after her VMA performance is being talked about by most celebrities and media outlets in the country. The pop singer said during a radio interview this Tuesday that people should have expected it, after all it was the Video Music Awards and not the Grammy’s. He also said that he likes Miley, and that he appreciates how she is letting everyone around know that she is growing up.

He also said that historically, the Video Music Awards are a place where you can get away with just about anything. Timberlake also pointed out some other less than normal moments in the show’s past editions, like the Madonna wedding hump and Britney Spears’ strip routine.

TImberlake had a great night too as he staged a legendary one night reunion with his former band mates from N’Sync before being awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. The 32 year old pop star also added that his favorite part of the VMA’s was the audience, more specifically the Smith family reaction to what he later found out was actually Lady Gaga’s performance and not Miley Cyrus’.

Timberlake wasn’t the only one to stand up for Miley, her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus also said that he supports and loves his daughter unconditionally.
