Kate Upton Braved Sub-Zero Temperatures At The SI Swimsuit Shoot
Kate Upton revealed that after she posed for the Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated in Antarctica, her body shut down.
The model donned a white-colored bikini bottom along with an unzipped parka during the shoot. She is the cover girl for this year’s Swimsuit Edition of the magazine for the second year in the row. The swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated was launched recently.
Upton revealed at the “Today” show of NBC that it was freezing during the shoot. Since she is from Florida, the shoot was not easy for her. The model indicated that she was losing her eyesight and hearing after she came back. Her body started to shut down since she did not find it easy to stay warm.
Kate Upton joins several celebrity models who became the cover girl of the swimsuit edition at least twice. The list includes Tyra Banks, Christie Brinkley, and Elle Macpherson.
According to a Sports Illustrated senior editor, MJ Day, Kate Upton was brave enough to pose in temperatures that went down to around twenty-four degrees Fahrenheit or negative four degrees Celsius. Wind chills also went down to around negative twenty degrees Fahrenheit or negative twenty-nine degrees Fahrenheit.
Day joined the model in the shoot, and indicated that she was daring enough to pose in a bikini for six days while everyone else wrapped themselves with a jacket. No one can say that she is a model who complains a lot.
The seventeen models for the photo shoot this year were spread out in all of the seven continents with Kate Upton shooting in the cold continent of Antarctica.
