Katie Holmes Returns To TV After More Than A Decade
Katie Holmes will return to the silver screen and star in her first TV show after 11 long years of absence. The actress is said to be geared up to star in a drama pilot for ABC however, not much else is known at this time.
The drama will be helmed by Richard LaGrevense and will take place in modern-day New York. The premise of the show will be similar to the movie Cruel Intentions where a “diabolical duo” make a bet to destroy an innocent women’s life. The said women will be called Ann and is set to be played by Katie Holmes, marking her legendary comeback to TV.
Holmes’ character Ann will be an example of style and intelligence as well as the main cog in a philanthropic foundation she runs with her husband. She will be the target of a bet between Philip, who will be played by Rufus Sewell and Margot, who has not been cast yet, to show the false nature of love.
Over the course of the show, Ann will prove a match for Sewell’s character, making for some rather racy moments. If the show is chosen to become a series in May’s ABC schedule it will be the first steady TV job Holmes has had since she retired from The Creek back in 2003.
