Katy Perry Wows Audience During The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Aside from the action on the field, Super Bowl audiences also like to watch the halftime show, which had Katy Perry performing this year. Perry started the show atop a giant tiger while wearing a dress of flames. She performed a medley of her songs and had quick costume changes in front of around 100 million people.

These costume changes created a huge stir in the audience since she appeared to change from one colorful costume into a magnificent outfit within seconds. This left a good number of people in the audience to wonder how she was able to do it. In fact a number of tweets referred to these costume changes.

The performance of Katy Perry also saw a number of guest performers including Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliot. Despite all the pageantry of her performance, a number of people still consider the performance of Beyonce in 2013 as the greatest in the history of the Super Bowl.

A number of people tweeted using the infamous line of Kanye West when he went up the stage during the 2009 VMA Awards. They insisted that Beyonce had the best Super Bowl half time performances in history.

In fact, one fan commented on the props used by Perry on the set during her performance. The fans tweeted that the star needed the giant tiger, techno horses and palm trees to entertain as compared to Beyonce who only needed to sing.

Some people also thank Missy Elliot for saving the halftime show. The hip-hop star has not released music in nearly the last decade. One fan tweeted that Missy was brilliant and she saved Perry in the performance while another indicated that Missy Elliot save the train wreck name Perry.

Despite all the quick changes, Katy Perry was able to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, which made the 2004 performance of Janet Jackson somewhat memorable.
