Keanu Reeves’ New Movie Hits Second Spot On Box Office
Seen sporting a very hip outfit while walking in a pleasant mood down the streets of New York this Sunday it seems that things couldn't go better for Keanu Reeves. The 50-year-old actor’s new movie, an action packed revenge flick called "John Wick" rose to second place at the box office this weekend.
His grey T-shirt, worn-out jeans and black buttoned blazer were quite a contrast from the stylish suit the star wore last week in Los Angeles during the premiere of his latest movie. "John Wick" and its $14,2 million weekend box office debut was only outmatched by Ouija who got number one with a $20 million debut.
Keanu plays an ex-assassin who is forced out of his early retirement by the death of his dog. Keanu said he immediately loved director David Leitch and Chad Sthelski’s unique vision for the movie. The "Matrix" actor added that he particularly liked the way the movie was filmed, with wide shots, few cuts and the action happening directly in front of the viewer not through changing perspectives.
Reeves also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last Wednesday to promote the movie and delighted fans with quite an interesting story about an encounter with a ghost during his childhood and how the experience horrified his nanny at the time.
