Kelly Clarkson got engaged recently with her longtime boyfriend Brandon Blackstock, who gave her diamond engagement ring. Her excitement in the engagement was noticeable as she made the announcement through her Twitter and Facebook accounts last Saturday.

The announcement showed that was head-over-heels for the engagement and her longtime boyfriend. Typing in all caps, Kelly Clarkson announced that she was engaged through her Twitter account. She added that Blackstock was the “greatest man ever.”

Kelly Clarkson also shared a picture of her engagement ring, which features a yellow diamond surrounded by white diamonds. Blackstock is the stepson of Reba McEntire, a recording artist manager. Reba and Kelly Clarkson are good friends.

Clarkson also revealed the designer of her engagement ring through Twitter. According to Clarkson, the engagement ring was designed by Jonathan Arndt. The engagement ring appeared to be an asschercut diamond ring even as no details were revealed on its karats and weight.

Kelly Clarkson already gave hints on the possibility that she was getting married when she was a guest of Ellen Degeneres. She revealed that she will get married to Blackstock in the future at the Ellen Show. She kept on talking about her longtime boyfriend during the show.

Following the engagement, it remains uncertain if Kelly Clarkson will stop recording songs that have heartbreak as their theme especially after how the American Idol star excitedly showed her engagement ring over the net.
