Killer tornado swept properties and life across Southeast America

After a storm swept through the Southeast yesterday, November 17, 2011, wherein five people were killed and caused injuries and damages in several states, a sudden tornado attacked and killed residents  .According to the sheriff’s office of York County in South Carolina, three people died and five others were brought to the hospital.

Likewise in Forsyth County, Georgia another person died after a tree fell on his car. Trees, homes and buildings were damaged, as well as power outages were reported across Georgia, Alabama and Atlanta. Also in North Carolina, Gov. Perdue confirmed one death and in Mississippi, four people were injured are now in critical condition.

Further in the state of Alabama, a possible tornado swept homes and vehicles. However, no casualties were reported due to the sudden storm. Rita Smith a public information officer of Eastern Alabama Lee County has received numerous reports of damage, which includes apartment complex, structures at a lake, trees and mobile homes. Jim Goldberg a resident of Alabama said that trees fell on his property and homes were damaged.

According to Lt. Mike Baker, they are having a search-and-rescue operation across the Southeast. Authorities are unsure whether the number of victims will go any higher.
