Kristen Stewart Replaced in Coming Snow White Sequel
Universal Studios decided to remove Kristen Stewart from the sequel movie of Snow White and the Huntsman. Instead, Universal will just focus on the Huntsman film starring Chris Hemsworth. If there will be a sequel of Snow White and the Huntsman, then Stewart will not be invited to be part of it.
According to a report of The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel to the movie that includes Hemsworth, Stewart, and Charlize Theron is reconceived as spinoff film. There is no clear report on whether director Rupert Sanders will be part of the sequel. On the other hand, there are some sources saying that Sanders will definitely return.
The spokeswoman of Universal said that the studio is considering all its options to go on with its franchise.
The decision to take Stewart out of the movie was done after the actress and Sanders publicly apologized for their romantic affair. It is not clear why the studio have decided to remove Stewart from the cast, although it might be awkward for the two parties to be together again in the sequel movie.
It is unusual to make decisions like this as early as the first two movies. But Universal would rather do it than make unnecessary rumors.
