Lance Armstrong Movie In The Making
After the huge scandal regarding Lance Armstrong’s use of performance enhancing drugs during the latter part of his career it appears that Paramount, and Bad Robot, JJ Abrams’ production company are close to sealing the deal on the screen rights to “Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong”.
“Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong” written by New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur is a book about how the former seven time winner of the Tour de France used drugs to dominate the international cycling scene for a good couple of years.
A movie was in the making for years with Sony studios, with Jake Gyllenhal being the favorite to play Lance Armstrong. The movies would have been about Lance’s battle with cancer and his triumphant return to the sport that gave him so much. At least this was the plan until the scandal broke out.
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey of her OWN network the famed cyclist confessed to using performance enhancing drugs.
In the two part interview that aired this Thursday Lance Armstrong confessed to using EPO, testosterone and human growth hormone, drugs that would guaranty a lifetime ban from the sporting world.
The confession may not be the worst part of the whole ordeal for Lance Armstrong as his confession may bring about countless litigation suits that could cost him a lot of money.
