Larry Fitzgerald Gives Encouraging Message To Chris Mortensen
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald had his best play after the game with the Green Bay Packers.
The Cardinals star was nearly unstoppable as he carried Arizona to a win over Green Bay in the divisional round. He sidestepped a number of tacklers along with a Hail Mary to give Arizona a 26-20 overtime win.
Fitzgerald boosted the Cardinals to an ideal position during overtime with a 75-yard catch as well as a run following a broken play. He won the game after Carson Palmer gave him a shovel pass at the 5-yard line of Green Bay. At the end of the game, Fitzgerald gave a heartwarming message to Chris Mortensen. Mortensen is currently battling throat cancer.
The Arizona wide receiver said to the ESPN reporter that they were thinking about him a few minutes after winning the game. He also told Chris Mortensen to fight and they love him.
Mortensen has not issued any statements since Friday. However, he acknowledged the gesture of Larry Fitzgerald and thanked him. He also thanked everyone else who wished him well. He thanked everybody and Fitzgerald through his Twitter account. He also said he was humbled and cited a Bible verse, 1 Timothy 2:1.

The Bible verse indicates that all prayers, supplication, intercessions and thanksgivings to be made for everyone. The statement of the 64-year-old reporter on Friday revealed that his diagnosis of Stage IV throat cancer. He also said he will take a break from football coverage.
The announcement drew numerous tributes and well wishes for Mortensen, who became a part of ESPN since 1991. His colleagues, like Adam Schefter, said that he will be remembered even with his absence from ESPN.
