Latest Harry Potter Movie record-breaking in opening day

Los Angeles, California — The final Harry Potter Movie, the last among the eight series, posted a record-breaking $92.1 million opening day ticket sales in the United States and Canada Markets. The movie now holds the record for the highest earning movie in the opening day box office.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part2 dethroned New Moon, Twilight’s 1st movie installment, which earned $72.7 million opening day ticket sales back in 2009. Harry Potter’s opening day sale nearing the $100 million mark is extraordinary according to movie industry critics.

The last installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part2, is forecasted as the first and only among all the Harry Potter movie sequels to earn more than a billion dollar ticket sales at the box office sales worldwide. The movie which was shown in 3D contributes to its record-breaking sales, the only among the eight.

Harry Potter is also the highest earning movie and film franchise in history earning as much as $6.4 billion in ticket sales globally. Author J.K. Rowling created Harry Potter. It started from a book series before its worldwide phenomenal success.

It was shown in over 4,300 theaters across the United States before earning a record-breaking $92.1 million in ticket sales. In other 59 countries globally, the movie hit ticket sales at $75 million. The movie was produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, a unit of Time Warner Inc.
