Latest “Maleficent” Trailer Released

The latest trailer of “Maleficent” was released recently through the Disney Channel. The latest footage shows the inspiration of the upcoming movie. The trailer showed some footages of the classic 1959 Disney film “Sleeping Beauty.” The trailer also shows how familiar scenes will be presented in the live-action movie when it will be released into theaters by summer.

The trailer showed the citizens of the kingdom marching into the palace for the christening of the baby princess. It also shows the prince coming close to the bed where Aurora is sleeping. The trailer also gave a glimpse of the birthday gifts given by three small fairies as well as the part where Maleficent cursed the newborn after she was not invited to the christening.

Among the highlights of the new trailer of the upcoming movie is Angelina Jolie. The red lips and pointed cheekbones of her character may become the latest fashion trends for this year. The trailer gave the audience a view of the villainess and gives an insight on the nature of her horns. The horns are not accessories instead they are part of her skull.

However, some viewers may be puzzled by a surprising conversation between a teenage Aurora and Maleficent. The villainess appear to be protecting the princess from the evil in the world as she said that she cannot keep her from the evil that is present in the world.

The villainess in the classic fairytale has always been portrayed as an extraordinary bad girl in the Disney universe. However, the latest trailer gives hints at the possibility that she is in some way trying to protect the princess from evil. It may be possible that the classic villainess may be cast as a misunderstood heroine instead of being an ultimate bad girl.

“Maleficent” is set to hit the big screen on the 30th of May.
