While some information about the upcoming Apple Watch were already revealed by the tech giant, a recently-leaked app for the iPhone may have revealed additional details up the functions of the smartwatch.

The leaked app, called the Apple Watch Companion, allows users to manage connectivity and app settings with an iPhone. The smartwatch from Apple is expected to be unveiled in spring and denotes the entry of the tech giant into the market for wearable devices. The market already has a number of major players, including LG, Sony, Motorola and Samsung. Since consumers are not yet akin to wearable tech, Apple has to work on enticing them to purchase their device.

The images of the Companion app indicate that Apple attempted to provide users witch a suitable number of options to allow owners to work on the watch without any problems. Since the wearable tech of Apple does not offer a virtual keyboard, users can use their voice in responding to instant messages.

The leaked app also shows that navigation can be done through a number of methods. Any text on the screen will be heard by the user through a VoiceOver feature. Users can also zoo in by simply double tapping on the screen.

Security on the smartwatch of Apple is similar to the iPad and iPhone. A four-number pass code will be necessary to access Apple Pay and if the wrong pass code is entered ten times, the data may be wiped from the watch.

The app also allows users to set features on the watch that provide reminders on the activities they accomplished for a certain period. The heart-rate tracking features allow users to monitor the calories they burned. The Companion application for the Apple Watch also shows the storage available on the watch along with apps, photos and songs store on it.
