Lena Dunham May Quit Acting

Hollywood darling Lena Dunham is uncertain of her acting future and argues that she may very well leave the big screen behind. Dunham, who has had one of the most impressive career spikes in the last couple of years if famous for her HBO show “Girls”.

Even though the show is a huge success, few people are actually aware that Dunham isn't only the star, but that she created, directs and writes it. While she didn't say she plans on quitting any time soon, the young actress did mention that she does not plan to be an on-screen talent for her entire career.

During an interview for the April issue for the magazine Glamour, Dunham said that she is actually relieved when she shows up to work and doesn't have to act. She also added that she would prefer to give her parts to other women than always be the on stage talent.

During the same interview, Dunham talked about what inspires her to write her show, citing a picture of her parents, Laurie Simmons and Carroll Dunham in their 20’s as her main inspiration. The young comedienne said that the aged color palette of the photo gives a larger significance and impotence to their 20s.

She said that the picture is one of the main inspirations that led her to create her show.
