Leonardo DiCaprio woman assaulter sentenced to two years in prison

Leonardo DiCaprio’s attacker was sentenced to two years in jail for slashing the face of the Hollywood actor with a piece of glass at a party in 2005.  Aretha Wilson had pleaded no contest to the charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Judge Patricia Schnegg of the Los Angeles Superior Court took into account the one year already spent in prison by Wilson. Her attorney said Wilson will serve a remainder of six months in jail. DiCaprio was not present during the sentencing. Both the defense and prosecutors said they were relieved that the matter has been resolved. Wilson’s attorney Freddy Sayegh said that her client will be deported to Canada after completing her jail sentence.

According to court documents, Leonardo DiCaprio and Wilson were both present at a Hollywood Hills gathering in 2005. Wilson was seen by a witness to be cursing at one of the actor’s companions when she hit him with a wine glass. The actor received 17 stitches in his face because of the cut he suffered.

DiCaprio, who starred in the blockbuster, mind-bending film “Inception” has confirmed that he will be working with director Clint Eastwood very soon in the F.B.I. director J. Edgar Hoover biopic. Filming will likely start early next year. Scriptwriter Dustin Lance Black, who wrote the script for “Milk” said in September that he had finished writing the script for the Hoover film. Leonardo DiCaprio will take the lead role as Hoover, the first director of the F.B.I. Rumors  persist up to this day that Hoover was  a homosexual, but he repeatedly denied it.
