LG G4 Beats Aims To Offer Value In The Mid-Range Market
LG claims its upcoming LG G4 Beat is a reasonably-priced “exceptional phone.” While the company has yet to reveal the price of the device, it gave it a number of features from the flagship smartphone.
While the rear camera is only 8MP, it features a laser auto-focus to ensure it produces exceptional images. The color spectrum sensor of the G4 Beat measures infrared and RGB values in ambient light and makes the necessary adjustments on the colors of each image. The camera also features manual controls for the ISO, shutter speed, white balance and exposure. The 5MP camera in front comes with a Gesture Interval Shot features that allows users to take four consecutive selfies at one hand signal.
The LG G4 Beat has a similar design as the flagship together with its rear-mounted power and volume control button. Its 5.2-inch display has a resolution of 1080p while its 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor has become popular among mid-range smartphones. However, its RAM and internal storage are limited to 1.5GB and 8GB, respectively.
The G4 Beat is expected to reach the Latin American and European market before the end of the month. This will be followed by its international launch. Singapore, Turkey, South Africa, Russia, India and Canada are among the countries that will benefit from this international launch. It remains uncertain when it will enter the US market.
The upcoming launch of the smartphone is important for the company with the fierce competition in the mid-range market. While it is possible for a high-quality phone to enter the mid-range market, it remains to be seen if the LG G4 Beat will deliver.
