Lil Wayne Experiences Seizure

The publicist of Lil Wayne’s record label revealed that the rapper suffered a seizure recently and is currently recovering from it.

The Grammy-winning artist is among the best hip-hop artists in the world, a distinction that he shares with Drake, a rapper from Toronto. Drake was seen at the hospital where the multiple-platinum-selling artist was treated. The friend of Wayne were also at the hospital, sitting along the hallway where his room was located.

Reports on the condition of Lil Wayne spread fast on Twitter as fans feared for the worst although a tweet tried to pacify the commotion. The message came from the account of the rapper, which indicated that he was good and thanking for the prayers and love.

Although the medical issue was acknowledged by the camp of the artist, it denied reports that he was dying.

The publicist of Young Money label, Sarah Cunningham confirmed the seizure. The Cedars-Sinai Medical Center PR department neither confirmed nor denied the presence of Lil Wayne at the hospital, which is its policy.

The president of Young Money label, Mack Maine, did not provide any other details on the condition of the artist although he indicated that the rapper was watching the game of Syracuse University Orange and Georgetown at the time of the seizure.

Kia Selby, the independent publicist of the artist revealed that he was doing well and denied that he was in a coma. Lil Wayne is among the most successful artists in the world. He won the best rap album award in the Grammy awards in 2008. He also won three other Grammy award a year after.

The rapper has achieved a good amount of commercial success as Billboard reported last September that he had 109 hits on the Hot 100. He also had his share of trouble off the stage.

In 2007, the rapper was arrested after a pistol was found on his tour bus. Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to felony gun charges and spent time at Rikers Island jail in New York.
