Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy Issue Breaks Sales Records
According to Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, the nude photos of Lindsay Lohan that spread over the net have helped the men’s magazine break sale records.
Sources revealed that Lindsay Lohan was paid close to $1 million to pose for the photo shoots taken in a style same of the nude photograph of Marilyn Monroe in the debut issue of Playboy in 1953. However, Marilyn Monroe was just paid $50 for the photo shoot in 1949.
Hugh Hefner posted on his Twitter account on Sunday, "The Lindsay Lohan January-February Double Issue is breaking sales records." Hugh Hefner did not give sales numbers but the founder assured that it was doing “very well.”
Further according to reports, the issue is selling out across the country and more vendors are ordering more copies. Major cities including New York and Las Vegas have asked for extra magazines.
This opportunity given by Playboy is a rare moneymaking way for Lindsay Lohan, who had been experiencing career downfall in the past two years and frequent trips to court, probation restrictions, extended drug rehab stints and several visits to jail. From drunken-driving convictions in 2007, a necklace theft conviction in 2011 and several probation violations were among the legal woes that Lindsay Lohan have experienced.
