Lindsey Lohan Doesn’t Get Case Dropped
This Friday wasn't the best start to a weekend that party girl Lindsey Lohan has had. A Los Angeles judge refused to drop the reckless driving and obstruction case filed against the “Mean Girls” actress so she would stand to be judged before the end of this month for her 2012 car crash.
Lohan who is 26 was accused of reckless driving, giving false declarations to police officers and obstructing police. All this after her Porsche sports car hit a truck in Santa Monica,California last summer. She pleaded not guilty to all charges.
At a hearing held this Friday at the Los Angeles Superior Court, a judge didn't agree with Lohan’s defense lawyer’s argument that the actress was unlawfully questioned by police.
The judge also refused to grant Lohan an extension on her trial to the first week of April.
It will take place as previously scheduled on March the 18th. Lohan can face anywhere between three months to a year in jail for each misdemeanor she committed.
She could also be sentenced to jail if it is considered she violated the terms of her probation.
Mark Heller also told reporters that Lindsey Lohan has started a new round of psychotherapy and that she is interested in giving inspirational speeches to kids in an effort to turn her life around and change for the better.
